Terms of Service

Last updated: April 26, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Rite mobile application ("Rite," the "App," "we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Rite.

Rite is operated from Quebec, Canada by Stephen Meterissian (the "Operator"). Contact: meterissian.stephen@gmail.com.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Rite. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use Rite only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. In the European Union and certain other jurisdictions, the minimum age is 16.

By using Rite, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements and that the information you provide during sign-up is accurate.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials associated with your Rite account, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

If you sign in with Apple, your account is secured by Apple's authentication. If you sign up with email and password, you are responsible for choosing a strong password and for keeping it private.

If you suspect your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us immediately.

You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and not reversible.

3. The Rite service

Rite is a daily reflection and pattern-recognition application. It is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

Rite is not a medical, mental health, or therapeutic service. Patterns surfaced by Rite are statistical observations from your own self-reported data and are not diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or professional advice of any kind. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or believe you may have a medical condition, contact a qualified healthcare professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of Rite at any time, with or without notice.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Rite is free to use with optional subscription tiers that unlock additional features.

Auto-renewing subscriptions. All paid subscriptions are auto-renewing. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize Apple to charge your iTunes account for the subscription at the rate displayed in the App at the time of purchase, and to renew the subscription automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Founding member pricing. From time to time, Rite may offer a founding-member rate to early subscribers. The terms of any founding offer (rate, lock-in duration, eligibility window) will be displayed in the App at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to end a founding offer at any time, but the rate offered to anyone who purchased during the offer period will be honored according to the terms shown at purchase.

Refunds. All payments are processed by Apple under Apple's terms. Refund requests must be made directly to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Your content

The data you enter into Rite — your check-in scores, your onboarding answers, your notification preferences — is your content. You retain all rights to it.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your content solely as needed to operate the App for you. We do not use your content to train machine learning models, and we do not share or sell your content. See our Privacy Policy for details.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the content you enter. Rite produces patterns from the data you provide; if your inputs are not honest, the patterns will not be useful.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these rules.

7. Intellectual property

Rite, including the App, the brand, the visual design, the question bank, the pattern algorithms, and all related content, is owned by the Operator and protected by copyright and other laws. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use the App for personal use under these Terms. No other rights are granted.

You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the App or its content without our prior written consent.

8. Termination

You may stop using Rite and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access to Rite at our discretion if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we discontinue the service. We will provide reasonable notice where practicable.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution — will continue to apply.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against unauthorized access, or that any defects will be corrected. We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or usefulness of any pattern, statistic, or insight produced by the App for any specific purpose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of Rite — whether based on contract, tort, statute, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) ten US dollars ($10).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The federal laws of Canada applicable in Quebec also apply where relevant.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the courts located in the judicial district of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction whose law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, this clause does not override that right.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, if the changes are material, notify you within the App or by email. Your continued use of Rite after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to a change, you must stop using the App and may delete your account.
